ABOUT

Andrea Jayne was born in Cardiff, South Wales. She moved to Bristol in 1985 to study Art and Design and graduated from UWE Faculty of the Creative Arts with a BA (Hons) in Illustration.

Andrea relocated to Bath and worked for Hallmark cards as an illustrator for 10 years. During this time she was illustrating the well-known Forever Friends bear and creating new character ranges for cards and gifts.

She is now self-employed and enjoys freelancing for a wide range of clients for cards, children’s books, china and magazines. Her studio is based at Bristol’s new Creative Quarter, Paintworks, an artistic community development. www.paintworksbristol.co.uk

Andrea works in a traditional style using line and watercolour wash. One of her new quirky bunch of characters are called Hot Diggity Dog which are presently selling on cards in John Lewis/Waitrose and on china products.
